This clock is based on an old idea of mine that I was reminded of after reading Seneca’s “On the Shortness of Life”. Having only a second hand, its purpose isn’t to tell a specific time, but to describe the passing of time and remind the viewer not to waste those ticking seconds. I’d like to make a watch of a similar design, so if anyone sees a likely candidate for modification, let me know. This clock was created for an instructor of mine, Raymond Maxwell, in Seattle, Washington on 2010-06-06.
